A taste of it

A good testimonial sounds like a story, not an endorsement. It has a person, a problem, a decision, a result and a number. "They were great to work with" tells the viewer nothing. "We cut onboarding from three weeks to four days and my team stopped working weekends" tells them everything. Your job as interviewer is to find the specifics. Ask for moments, not opinions. Ask "what happened next?" more than "what did you think?".
